The “Espérance de Vie – Côte d’Ivoire” Association at the Heart of the European Union’s Mission in Daloa.
The momentum for youth development and professional integration in Daloa has reached a new stage. On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, the city welcomed Mr. Félicien Agboihoué, an expert mandated by the European Union (EU), as part of a strategic mission dedicated to Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
A Synergy Between the City Hall, the EU, and Civil Society
The mission began with an official reception at Daloa City Hall, on behalf of Mayor Stéphane Gbeuly, hosted by Mr. Kanaté Issouf, 6th Deputy Mayor of Daloa. This meeting underscores the importance of collaboration between local authorities and international partners in supporting young people.
The main objective of this initiative is the development of robust organizational and funding mechanisms for youth-based CSOs. The challenge is crucial: structuring these organizations so they can offer increasingly effective training and professional integration programs tailored to the realities on the ground.
Expert Visit to the Headquarters of “Espérance de Vie – Côte d’Ivoire”
As part of his field research, Mr. Félicien Agboihoué wished to deepen his understanding of local initiatives by visiting the headquarters of the “Espérance de Vie – Côte d’Ivoire” Association. Accompanied by representatives of the VISA Association, the expert was able to gain firsthand insight into our organization’s commitments.
This visit provided an opportunity for our teams to share their experience, challenges, and ambitions regarding support for young people in our community.
“We wish to express our deep gratitude to Mr. Félicien Agboihoué for this enriching visit. These exchanges are essential for aligning our actions with the European Union’s funding and technical support prospects.” “We look forward to continuing these constructive discussions very soon,” emphasized the association’s external representative.
Towards a promising future
This visit reflects a shared commitment to further professionalizing the non-profit sector in Daloa. For Espérance de Vie – Côte d’Ivoire, this attention from the European Union confirms the relevance of our mission and motivates us to redouble our efforts to build, together, a better future for Ivorian youth.
